Happy Chinese New Year

Of all the Asian ethnicities, the Chinese are most represented in South Africa (aside from the Indians). Apparently there is a significant Chinese community here in Joburg- some are third and fourth generation South Africans while many are recent immigrants who can barely speak English. Needless to say, there are plenty of Chinese restaurants to choose from. I took my colleagues out for a Chinese banquet this past week to celebrate the Year of the Rat. Thirteen of us sitting around the table with a lazy susan. Good food, good times...
